What sort of transcriptions do you offer?

How does the transcription process work?
As soon as we receive the recording you send, we pass it on to a team of transcribers with expertise in the type of transcription you require. As soon as they are done transcribing your recordings are then passed on to team of editors who double check the transcript for possible errors. The final phase of transcription involves a third “quality check” proofreading by quality analysts. The completed transcript is then sent back to you.
What languages can you transcribe and translate to/from?
At the moment we can transcribe and translate to/from English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Chinese, Russian and Hindi. All translation work is done by native speakers who ensure the highest quality, natural and accurate translations.
Can you both transcribe and translate the same file?
Yes. If you request that your work is both transcribed and translated at the same time we can do that for you to or from any language you choose. Does the format of the recording matter?
Candid Technology transcribes/translates a wide array of formats and whatever format you would like to have transcribed we can do it for you. However, digital file formats tend to be of higher quality and will save you the costs and risks (such as loss or damage in transit) associated with shipping the physical recordings.

What is TAT and what determines it?
TAT stands for Turn Around Time. It is the time it takes between us receiving your assignment and its completion and return. TAT is mostly determined by the quality of the recording as well as its length. The lower the quality the more difficult it is to transcribe and thus the longer it will take to be completed. What makes a recording “low quality”?
Recordings that have a lot of background/ambient noise, very heavily accented speakers, static or interruptions in the flow of recording make a recording “low quality” and influence a transcribers ability to accurately and quickly transcribe the recording.

Are your medical transcribers certified?
